Privacy Notice

The application does not create accounts, track players or set cookies. This notice states exactly what is and is not stored.

1. Operator

Make a Mess is operated by Igor Kirisiuk, Astana, Kazakhstan. Contact: igor@horde.works.

2. No application-level collection

The application code does not collect personal data. It has no user accounts, profiles, contact forms, purchases, advertising, analytics, network telemetry, behavioural tracking, social plugins or user-content submission. The in-game telemetry display is a local readout of moving objects and does not transmit data. The application does not sell, rent or share personal data because it does not collect it.

3. Cookies and device-local storage

The application does not set cookies. It uses browser local storage for device-local preferences, consent and optional gameplay state:

handmade-games-language — the language you selected;
handmade-games:terms-acceptance — the version of the Terms of Usage you accepted.
make-a-mess:graphics-settings — your graphics quality preferences;
make-a-mess:construction:v1:* — structures you build, stored separately for each supported world.

Session storage is also used for two short-lived values: confirmation that you opened the current Terms in this tab, and passenger state while moving between worlds. Session values are removed by the browser when the tab session ends, and the passenger value is removed after the transfer completes.

All of this state stays in your browser and is not transmitted to the operator by the application. It contains no account, contact or advertising identifier. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s browser data; preferences, local constructions and consent will then be reset.

4. Hosting and network delivery

The Service is delivered through Firebase Hosting. Firebase states that Hosting processes incoming IP addresses to detect abuse and provide usage analysis, and retains IP data for a limited period. Hosting may also process request time, requested URL, browser headers and security events as part of delivering and protecting the site. This provider-level processing is governed by Google and Firebase terms; it is not an analytics or tracking feature embedded in the game.

5. Future changes

If the Service later introduces accounts, analytics, non-essential cookies or any other personal-data processing, this notice and the product controls will be updated first. Non-essential cookies or similar tracking storage will not be enabled before any prior consent required by applicable law.
